South Plains Community Action Association, Inc. provides a variety of services focused on enabling individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and on providing them with the resources to achieve that goal.
These services are arranged in six program divisions – Child Care, Community Services, Housing, Head Start/Early Head Start, Health Services, and SPARTAN Transportation.

History
SPCAA was formed in 1965 as the Hockley County Community Action Committee, Inc. It was chartered as a non-profit agency and was based in Levelland, Texas. As the agency grew, it became known as South Plains Community Action Agency. At the current time, SPCAA’s various programs provide services in over 100 Texas counties.
